Josh Porter joined Robert Gerrard’s Lift Plan team in 2025 as an Apprentice Account Executive and is currently working towards his Cert CII qualification. Naturally outgoing and approachable, Josh brings a real enthusiasm for helping people and takes pride in providing a friendly, reliable service to clients.

Before joining the insurance industry, Josh worked as a butcher, where his front-of-house role helped him develop strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with anyone. He believes that honesty, trust and a positive attitude are the foundations of every good client relationship — and he’s already putting those values into practice every day.

Josh approaches his work with a “yes” attitude and a genuine willingness to learn, always looking for ways to add value and make the client experience as smooth as possible. His friendly nature and sense of humour make him easy to talk to, and he’s quickly becoming a valued part of the team.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys music, going to concerts and keeping active at the gym. He’s also played an active role in fundraising, helping to raise over £20,000 for local charities including St Bart’s, Haven House, Prostate Cancer UK and Alzheimer’s awareness through annual community events. When he’s not out and about, he can usually be found relaxing with video games — or cheering on Spurs at the weekend.
